چکیده
This article develops and demonstrates a set of design-focused manufacturability constraints for the fused deposition modeling/fused filament fabrication (FDM/FFF) process. These can be mapped from basic behavior process characteristics formulated in terms implicit or explicit design constraints. When FDM/FFF is explored examined its natural limitations behavior, it provide manufacturing considerations (advantages, limitations, best practices). converted into constraints, which are practical limits on ability Finally, these design–useful Many constants parameters must determined experimentally specific materials. The final list 54 major presented this work will better inform designers considering using as process, help guide decisions. After derivation presentation constraint set, extensive discussion about implementation provided at end paper, including advice determining appropriate printing parameters. three case studies implement simple problems.

Mechatronic Design for an Extrusion-Based Additive Manufacturing Machine
3D printers, especially in the implementation of innovative extrusion processes which do not have a long history of development, are often built by adapting mechanical designs, drives and controls previously developed for generic machine tools. This is done through a process of choice and integration which is based principally on empirical criteria and taking into account separately the differe...
متن کاملA Novel Extrusion-based Additive Manufacturing Process for Ceramic Parts
An extrusion-based additive manufacturing process, called the Ceramic On-Demand Extrusion (CODE) process, for producing three-dimensional ceramic components with near theoretical density is introduced in this paper. In this process, an aqueous paste of ceramic particles with a very low binder content (<1 vol%) is extruded through a moving nozzle at room temperature. After a layer is deposited, ...

The materials and manufacturing choices have subsequently become very essential for a lower cost and desired wireless performance. In addition, eco-friendly aspects are gaining more and more interest. This thesis investigates the possibilities of novel manufacturing metho...
متن کاملDesigned Extrudate for Additive Manufacturing of Zirconium Diboride by Ceramic On-demand Extrusion
This work describes a process by which zirconium diboride (ZrB2) parts may be fabricated using the Ceramic On-Demand Extrusion (CODE) process. An oxide-carbide-nitride system consisting of ceramic powders and pre-ceramic organics, designed to yield ZrB2 after reaction sintering, has been developed to produce an aqueous-based extrudate for subsequent processing in the CODE system. Pressurelessly...
متن کاملMapping QTL with additive effects and additive x additive epistatic interactions for plant architecture in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)
In bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), crop height is an important determinant of agronomic performance. To map QTLs with additive effects and additive×additive epistatic interactions, 148 recombinant inbred lines and their parents, (‘YecoraRojo’ and Iranian landrace (No. #49)) were evaluated under normal and water deficit conditions. The experiments were carried out on research farms of Mahaba...
